Coinciding with the end of the academic year, fifth and sixth grade students have played small theatrical pieces in English for Pre-Primary Education children and for first and second grade pupils of Primary School.
The youngest students in the school have had the chance to enjoy short traditional theatrical stories in the English language (The musicians of Bremen, The Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks, Jack and the beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty) and a piece in Catalan (Patufet). All of them have enjoyed this experience and they have shared their school values and knowledge.
The elderly students of primary school have worked hard throughout the course to study the texts and to be able to dramatize them for their younger classmates. In a first phase, they made a comprehensive reading, making sure they understood the vocabulary and expressions present in their work. They then developed their expressive reading, which takes into account both the phonetic aspect of the various texts and the intonation that is most appropriate in each case. The last step was the staging of the works and the selection of the costumes of each character.
